[Ezra] told them, Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet drink,
and send portions to him for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is
holy to our Lord. And be not grieved and depressed, for the joy of the
Lord is your strength and stronghold.

Restore
to me the joy of Your salvation and uphold me with a willing spirit.
The enemy
thrives on taking advantage of our sins and character
weakness, causing us
to lose time in our relations, in our marriages, with our
children, in our
jobs and ministries, and with our own spiritual progress. It is
discouraging to wake up and realize that you have wasted 5, 10, or more
years by not dealing with your personal flaws such as lack of
spiritual discipline, lack of love, bad attitudes and setting a poor
example for your
family.
You may
feel like the locusts have come in and licked you clean,
swarmed your home and your life, crawled all over your belongings and
consumed your life.
Joel 2:25-26 AMP
And
I will restore or replace for you the years that the locust has
eaten--the hopping locust, the stripping locust, and the crawling
locust, My great army which I sent among you.
26 And you
shall eat in plenty and be satisfied and praise the name of
the Lord, your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you. And My people
shall never be put to shame.
Don't beat
yourself up! Instead, know that your wake-up call is a
miracle from God to keep you from wasting any more years.
God will restore the wasted
years if you cooperate with Him.
He can bring fruitfulness out of
unfruitful years, and He wants to double your blessings so that the
latter years are greater than the former!
