Me-Centered
God?
Let us dwell upon the
Creator of all things in
a very special manner.
Since God is the Master
Designer, the Architect
and the Builder of all
things,
why is that in so many
ways we place Him in
confinements of our
little finite minds?
Assuredly, if confronted
with our ways of
thinking about God in
such small measures,
we would quickly assert
that we really have no
ability to confine
Him.
Nor would we wish to do
so. It would be
most mistakenly arrogant
to imagine that the
creature
He created could contain
Him. But isn’t
that what has been done
in the church as
ministers
preach a me-centered
Gospel message with
me-centered ministries
declaring a me-centered
God who exists to take
care of me, me, me?
No, wait! Is the
church really preaching
these kind of
messages?
You know, the
message where God only
exists to bless us with
whatever we want
if we are good. Whatever
it is called, ( to make
a point) call it the
package of messages
that have been digitized
to offer for a generous
donation that have been
created in
"our own image of who
God is" that limits the
greatness of God.
(Mind you, I am not
against digital
products. They are
wonderful teaching aides
and they are the basis
for online ministry to
share the Gospel in all
its digital formats.
This web page is a
digitized format!
)
The premise of this
Newsletter is to bring
our attention into a
reality check to help us
focus
on just how mighty and
wonderful our Heavenly
Father is in all that He
has provided.
Almighty God cannot be
put in our containers…
even though He made
provision through His
Son to be housed in His
creation through His
plan
of Salvation.
Through repenting and
understanding our
position in Him,
believing the Gospel of
the Kingdom, and acting
in faith, the end result
is that
we are to take dominion
over His creation
through Jesus Christ in
us.
When we receive God’s
perspective on His ways
and purposes, we find
our thinking
changes and with it
comes
enlightenment!
Jesus is our hope of
glory…
His glory will always be
God's plan for us!
No longer shall we be
willing to be amused
by the Me-Centered God
messages.
In the New Covenant we
are to be the carriers
and containers of His
glory,
housing His presence
wherever we go. To
be a container for God’s
glory
is the most awesome
promise we have!
It is the treasure Paul
spoke of in Second
Timothy…
2 Timothy
1:14 NASU
Guard, through
the Holy Spirit who
dwells in us, the
treasure which has been
entrusted to you.
That treasure is the
gift of the Kingdom of
Heaven through Christ,
the Son!
Colossians 2:6-12
AMP
As you have therefore
received Christ, [even]
Jesus the Lord, [so]
walk
(regulate your lives and
conduct yourselves) in
union with and
conformity to Him.
7 Have the roots [of
your being] firmly and
deeply planted [in Him,
fixed and founded in
Him],
being continually built
up in Him, becoming
increasingly more
confirmed and
established
in the faith, just as
you were taught, and
abounding and
overflowing in it with
thanksgiving.
8 See to it that no one
carries you off as spoil
or makes you yourselves
captive by his so-called
philosophy and
intellectualism and vain
deceit (idle fancies and
plain nonsense),
following human
tradition (men's ideas
of the material rather
than the spiritual
world), just crude
notions following the
rudimentary and
elemental teachings of
the universe and
disregarding [the
teachings of] Christ
(the Messiah).
9 For in Him the whole
fullness of Deity (the
Godhead) continues to
dwell in bodily form
[giving complete
expression of the divine
nature].
10 And you are in Him,
made full and having
come to fullness of life
[in Christ you too are
filled with the
Godhead--Father, Son and
Holy Spirit--and reach
full spiritual stature].
And He is the Head of
all rule and authority
[of every angelic
principality and power].
11 In Him also you were
circumcised with a
circumcision not made
with hands, but in a
[spiritual] circumcision
[performed by] Christ by
stripping off the body
of the flesh (the whole
corrupt, carnal nature
with its passions and
lusts).
12[Thus you were
circumcised when] you
were buried with Him in
[your] baptism, in which
you were also raised
with Him [to a new life]
through [your] faith in
the working of God [as
displayed] when He
raised Him up from the
dead.
You may wish to reread
this scripture
passage. It is so
wonderfully provisional
of the love of God for
His creation… us.
We are of Him
and made full in Him!
With such an
awesome God and
wonderful promises, why
has God become the
“Me-Centered God?”
The divine nature is all
about Him not about
us. We Christians
haven’t allowed people
to see a God
of the miraculous, of
the impossible, of
unimaginable good and of
incredible love.
Instead we have
presented the
Me-Centered God.
We have shown the world
an intolerant, impotent,
angry God. We have
shown them a god who
requires us to be
qualified and perfected
for many years before He
can use us in His
ministry.
We have shown them a god
of the possible… a god
of hypocrisy and false
hope.
We have
promised and never
delivered.
When we no longer try to
contain God in our
image, but allow Him to
possess us in His image,
He can be seen in all
his beauty, goodness and
power! We then
find ourselves
unashamedly
standing up for
Him!
We are then able to
accurately demonstrate
His love, mercy and
grace! When the
focus is on Him
and not on what He can
do for “Me,”
we are able to tell the
world about His healing
nature, His miraculous
creation, and His
desires to welcome them
into His forgiving arms.
The church must get
focused on the Kingdom
as Jesus came and
demonstrated it.
Until we understand the
simplicity of the
Gospel,
we will not see the
Gospel message of Jesus
more clearly.
When there is a lack of
focus, we cannot
represent Him
accurately.
We miss the
demonstration of His
power that resides
within us.
We need to open our
spiritual eyes to see
Him as He really
is.
All our wrong concepts,
unbelief and wrong
doctrine must be
replaced with a
passionate
and true knowledge of
God!
We owe people a
supernatural encounter
with a supernatural God…
not just messages about
Him.
God is moving in the
supernatural in a mighty
way this year!
Expect to encounter Him
in your life for that
special change you have
been seeking Him to
bring about! He
loves you and He is
faithful.
This is the season for
that revelatory
encounter with the God
of all creation!
May God Bless you
with a new and powerful
spiritual thirst,
Ambassador
of
Christ,
Ron
