In
the Gospel of
Matthew
16:13–18
(AMP), Jesus
intentionally
brings
His disciples
into the
region of
Caesarea
Philippi—a
place
historically
associated
with pagan
worship and
cultural
confusion—to
ask a question
that still
confronts
every
generation:
“Who do
people say
that the Son
of Man is?”
The disciples
respond with
the cultural
opinions of
their day:
John the
Baptist,
Elijah,
Jeremiah, or
one of the
prophets
(v.14).
In modern
language, we
might hear
similar
answers today:
a moral
teacher, a
prophet, a
revolutionary,
an enlightened
philosopher,
or a religious
leader among
many.
But Jesus
makes the
question
personal:
“But who do
you say that I
am?” (v.15)
Simon Peter
answers with
divinely
inspired
clarity:
“You are the
Christ (the
Messiah, the
Anointed), the
Son of the
living
God.” (v.16)
This
confession is
not
intellectual
deduction or
popular
consensus.
Jesus
immediately
declares the
source:
“Blessed
[happy,
spiritually
secure,
favored by
God] are you,
Simon son
of Jonah,
because flesh
and blood
(mortal man)
did not reveal
this to you,
but My Father
who is in
heaven.”
(v.17)
Here we see
the principle
of revelation.
True
understanding
of Christ’s
identity does
not originate
in human
reasoning
alone—it is
unveiled by
the Father.
[Saving faith
is rooted in
revelation!]
Then Jesus
declares: “And
I say to you
that you are
Peter,
and on this
rock I will
build My
church; and
the gates of
Hades (death)
will not
overpower it.”
(v.18)
In the Greek
text, Jesus
uses a
deliberate
wordplay:
Petros – a
stone, a
smaller rock
(Peter).
Petra –
bedrock, a
massive rock,
foundational
stone. (Jesus)
The
grammatical
distinction is
significant.
Jesus is not
declaring
Peter
himself as the
ultimate
foundation,
but rather
affirming that
the revelation
Peter
received—that
Jesus is the
Christ, the
Son of the
living God—
is the bedrock
foundation. In
the wider
testimony of
the New
Testament,
Christ Himself
is
consistently
revealed as
the Petra, the
foundational
Rock of
salvation.
Scripture
repeatedly
identifies
Christ—not
Peter—as the
foundation
and chief
cornerstone of
the Church.
In 1 Peter
2:5–6 (AMP),
Peter himself
clarifies the
structure:
“You
[believers],
like living
stones, are
being built up
into a
spiritual
house… For
this is
contained in
Scripture:
‘Behold, I am
laying in Zion
a chosen
stone, a
precious chief
cornerstone,
and he who
believes
in Him will
never be
disappointed.’”
Notice the
order:
Christ is the
chief
cornerstone.
Christ is the
foundation
(Petra).
Believers—including
Peter—are
living stones
built upon
Him. (Petros)
Peter does not
elevate
himself; he
points to
Christ as the
foundation.
The Church is
not
constructed on
the
personality of
Peter but on
the
revealed
identity of
Jesus as
Messiah and
Son of God.
Thus, the
revelation
Peter receives
in Matthew
16:16 is this:
Jesus is the
Rock of
Salvation.
Christ's
Church (the
born again
people by the
Spirit of God
) are built
(matured) upon
Christ’s
person,
Christ’s
redemptive
work, and
Christ’s
resurrection
authority.
Therefore,
when Jesus
declares that
“the gates of
Hades (death)
will not
overpower it”
(v.18), He is
announcing the
indestructible
nature of a
spiritual
church founded
upon Himself.
Death cannot
defeat Him.
The grave
could not
contain Him.
And because
the Body of
Christ is
joined to Him,
it shares in
His triumph.
In modern
application,
the question
remains
unchanged:
Who is Jesus
to you?
Cultural
opinions
fluctuate.
Religious
systems shift.
Philosophies
evolve. But
the unshakable
foundation—the
Petra—
remains: Jesus
Christ, the
Son of the
living God,
the Rock upon
which the
spiritual
church stands
and against
whom even
death
cannot
prevail!
Christ's
Builders of
His Kingdom in
the earth
realm, are
those
who envision
things not
seen
(nonexistent)
and create
them,
or those who
take "weak,"
inaccurate
structure and
restore them
to originality
or/and expand
them!
The
Greatest
adventure you
can take is to
know God and
become
a
disciple of
the Son of God
through His
Word and His
Spirit
maturing
in His
Knowledge,
Understanding
and
Experiences!
2 Corinthians

Paul, an
apostle
(forerunner,
special
messenger,
vanguard,
ambassador)
writes:
So we are
Christ’s
ambassadors,
God making His
appeal as it
were through
us.
We [as
Christ’s
personal
representatives]
beg you for

The

of Knowledge
was released
in obedience
to His call.
"The
awakening to a
ministry of
"the Perfect
Man" and
"Greater
Changes"
resulted from

"apostolic-prophetic
experiences."
On a 2-day flight from
USA to Kenya,
the Lord
released a word
of knowledge
into my
spirit that He
is
transforming
the spiritual
landscape of
Africa.
Many
will
spiritually
gaze into the
future to see
to
manifestations
by the
enlightenment,
illumination
and revelation
of this
prophetic
release.
We wait
patiently to
observe the
manifestation
of events that
initiate
GREAT CHANGES
in Africa and
that will
effect not
only Africa,
but the global
dynamics of
other nations
resulting in
the Greatest
Changes of the
current
century
that we know
are
experiencing
in the Kingdom
Rule of
Light...
that dispels
the Dark!
Hear
the 'Word of
the Lord' :
"In these days
the move of My
Spirit will

significant
change,
requires
exponential
exercise of
power
in the
physical
earth, the
affairs of the
world and
dynamics in
the heavenly
realm!
The astute
observer of
geography,
climate,
cultures and
geopolitics
will
see tremendous
Great Changes
reshaping the
visions and
accomplishments
of
nations! To
fulfill such a
'Word of
Knowledge" is
outside the
immediate
minds
and notions of
the general
populace of
the world.
It is a
Gift of the
Holy Spirit...
freely given

spiritual
prophetic
realm!
God
knows all and

the assurance

confirmation)
of things

their reality

Testimony of
the New

Christ in all
that He was,

Father

achieve His

in earth!

The
timing and
manifestations
of the Lord
are sealed in
His Will.
Great
and wonderful
news is that
within the
Word of God,
is the power
to
effectually
achieve the
purposes for
which His Will
is Sent
Forward!
In this
"Word of
Knowledge,"
(earth realm
changes)...
will be
dramatic in
individuals,
religious
affiliations,
man
intellectually
created
churches
teaching
false
theology,
(those NOT
built upon the
experiential
of the Christ
Eye-witness
and
Ascension
forerunners
with prophetic
voices
rendering the
Gifts of the
Spirit
with
Christ the
"Cornerstone"
as the
foundation of
Truth, Life
and Spirit)
and
those
participating
in cults and
demonic
ritualistic
worship.
The
battle against
cult and evil
entities will
escalate in
degrees
shocking and
dreadful, and
in and through
man controlled
unrighteous
(wicked)
government
policies and
practices!
Then
"when the end
will come" for
those evil,
hard-hearted
and totally
rebellious
against
the Will of
our Living
God, Judgement
has already
been declared!
Jesus
gave the first
commandment
for all
humanity:
Mark
12:30 AMP
and you
shall love the
Lord your God
with all your
heart, and
with all your
soul
(life),
and with all
your mind
(thought,
understanding),
and with all
your
strength.’
To
disobey this
command is to
subject
onesself to
"The Great
Throne
Judgement."
Those
who seek the
Living God in
spirit and
truth in
Christ are
already
judged.
We do
not know the
"time or
season" of our
death. The
biblical
declaration
**“no
one knows the
time or
season”**
emerges from
the consistent
teaching
of
Christ and the
apostles that
the ultimate
unfolding of
God’s
redemptive
plan
rests
solely within
the authority
of the Father.
Scripture
presents this
truth not as a
barrier to
faith, but as
a call to
humility,
vigilance, and
continual
readiness
before God.
When
the disciples
asked Jesus
about the
restoration of
the Kingdom,
they were
seeking
a timetable
for divine
events. In
response,
Christ gently
redirected
their
focus.
In Acts of the
Apostles 1:7
(AMP), He
declared:
*“He
said to them,
‘It is not for
you to know
the times or
epochs which
the Father
has
fixed by His
own
authority.’”*
The
phrase “times
and seasons”
refers to the
appointed
moments in
God’s
sovereign
plan—those
decisive
turning points
in history
when the
purposes
of
heaven break
into the
affairs of
earth. Christ
did not deny
that such
moments
exist;
rather, He
affirmed that
their exact
timing remains
hidden within
the counsel
of God.
This
principle was
already stated
by Jesus in
Gospel of
Matthew 24:36
(AMP):
*“But of that
[exact] day
and hour no
one knows, not
even the
angels of
heaven,
nor the Son
[in His
humanity], but
the Father
alone.”*
In this
declaration,
the Lord
emphasized
that even
heavenly
beings are not
entrusted with
the precise
moment of the
culmination of
the age.
The
timing belongs
exclusively to
the Father’s
authority,
reinforcing
the mystery
of
God’s
sovereign
governance
over history.
The
early church
understood
this teaching
not as a
reason for
speculation
but as
a motivation
for spiritual
alertness. In
First Epistle
to the
Thessalonians
5:2
(AMP),
the apostle
Paul wrote:
*“For
you yourselves
know perfectly
well that the
day of the
Lord is coming
just as
a thief [comes
unexpectedly
and suddenly]
in the
night.”*
The
imagery of a
thief does not
imply
deception by
God, but
rather
suddenness
and
unpredictability.
The divine
visitation
arrives
unexpectedly
for those who
are
spiritually
unprepared,
while those
who walk in
the light
remain
watchful and
steadfast.
Throughout
biblical
history,
humanity has
often
attempted to
calculate or
predict
the
precise moment
of prophetic
fulfillment.
Yet Scripture
consistently
reveals that
prophetic
revelation is
given for
preparation
rather than
calculation.
The
purpose of
prophecy is to
align the
heart with
God, cultivate
faith, and
encourage
righteous
living—not to
provide a
calendar for
divine
intervention.
Thus
the teaching
that no one
knows the time
or season
functions as a
safeguard
against
spiritual
pride and
misplaced
certainty. It
preserves the
reverence due
to
God’s
sovereignty
and keeps
believers
anchored in
continual
dependence
upon
Him.
The faithful
are therefore
called not to
speculate
about the
hour, but to
remain
vigilant,
discerning the
spiritual
signs of the
times while
trusting the
Father’s
perfect
timing.
In this
way, the
mystery of
God’s
appointed
seasons
becomes a
spiritual
discipline.
The
church lives
in hopeful
anticipation—serving,
praying, and
proclaiming
the
gospel—knowing
that the
culmination of
all things
will arrive
precisely
according
to the
will of God.
When that
appointed
moment comes,
it will not be
because
humanity
discovered the
schedule, but
because the
eternal
purpose of the
Father
has
reached its
fullness in
time.
Therefore, the
biblical
message is
clear: the
exact time
remains
hidden, but
the
call to
readiness is
constant.
Believers are
exhorted to
walk in faith,
remain
spiritually
awake, and
trust the
wisdom of the
One who holds
all times and
seasons
within His
sovereign
hand.
John 12:46

salvation,

live empowered
by His

indwelling

spiritual life

sacrifice...
the Law of the
Spirit...The
NEW CREATION

Glorious Truth

The sacred
writings of
Christianity—the
Holy Bible—are
of supreme
and eternal
importance,
for they bear
witness to the
Ever-Living
Word
of God,
revealed in
Jesus Christ.
These
Scriptures are
not merely
historical
records or
moral
teachings;
they testify
of the Eternal
Word made
flesh,
whose physical
life, atoning
death,
victorious
resurrection,
and glorious
exaltation
unveil the
fullness of
God’s
redemptive
purpose.
Christ, now
glorified and
enthroned in
heavenly
majesty,
continually
pours forth
upon His
followers the
living essence
of His
finished
sacrifice.
From His
position of
glory, He
imparts the
transforming
power of His
Spirit,
writing upon
believing
hearts what
Scripture
calls “the law
of the Spirit
of
life in Christ
Jesus.”
Through this
divine
operation,
believers are
delivered
from the law
of sin and
death and are
ushered into
the liberty of
the
New Covenant
reality.
Within this
divine
revelation
unfolds the
wonder of the
NEW CREATION—
the spiritual
rebirth
wrought by the
Spirit of
God—wherein
those united
with Christ
are no longer
governed by
the flesh but
are made alive
in the
Spirit. This
glorious truth
reveals
Heaven’s
perspective
breaking into
earthly
existence:
adoption as
sons and
daughters, the
indwelling
Presence of
the Spirit,
freedom from
condemnation,
intimate
communion
with the
Father, and
the sure hope
of future
glory.

radiant truth
is
magnificently
proclaimed in

triumphant
life in the
Spirit,

believer’s
participation
